Residency can be acquired by individuals through Skilled Worker, Entrepreneur or Investor Programs. Countries such as Canada and Australia offer programs which require the individual to live in the country for a specific amount of time before attaining citizenship. Skilled Workers are assessed based on their age, English language ability, education, work experience and other factors, whereas Entrepreneur and Investor programs are assessed based upon their business experience, net worth, source of funds and ability to invest the required amount.
